Roast Beef Hash ~ from the Egg

GroundhandEditedThere will be few times that I will cross exchange a recipe to the Green Egg and I from my other cooking blog: Michael D Sargent’s ~ Tasty Morsels at: http://michaeldsargent.com/  This is one of those times.

A real treat and pleasure for all of us who levitate to the words ‘Comfort Food’ is a home made hash from leftovers, especially roast beef…  one that was cooked in the smoke filled goodness of the Big Green Egg. Those of us who have cooked one on our Egg can attest that there is nothing better! I recently posted a traditional beef ‘Country Hash’ family recipe and felt that it was appropriate to share on “The Green Egg and I” as an option worth exploring for those who want a truly wonderful dish made the old fashioned way and are wondering about leftovers from their Green Egg roast… Or perhaps it is a leg of lamb prepped with speared shallots and mustard rosemary glaze cooked on the Egg and made into a shepherd’s pie from leftovers… something I would walk over a bed of coals to get to right now…drop dead, the best!… Or Indian lamb curry… OMG, I have to stop! Sometimes I simply prefer the leftovers to the original meal.
